Glencore is currently seeking applications for the Occupational Health Nurse position located in the Witbank area, Mpumalanga.
This role is essential for maintaining an efficient occupational health service and implementing a risk and job/person specification-based medical surveillance program in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Implementing, maintaining, and monitoring the medical surveillance program to ensure legal compliance.
- Conducting pre-employment, pre-placement, and exit medical examinations according to established protocols.
- Implementing and maintaining the Chronic Disease Management Program, including coaching employees and contractors to raise ongoing awareness.
- Providing input into the diagnosis and management of occupational diseases and injuries.
- Executing campaigns aimed at promoting employee awareness, wellness, and wellbeing.
- Participating in the Group Wellness Steering Committee and providing relevant subject matter expertise.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- A Tertiary Qualification in General Nursing.
- An Occupational Health Qualification.
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a professional nurse and with the South African Society for Occupational Health Nurses (SASOHN).
- A valid Driver’s License Code EB (08).
- Certificates in Spirometry, Audiometry, Vision, and HIV counselling/testing will be advantageous.
Minimum Experience
Candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in occupational health.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Experience with Q-MED and in the mining industry is an added advantage.
