The Road Accident Fund is inviting applications for 17 Administrative Assistant vacancies across various departments. These are 12-month fixed-term contract positions available in the following areas:
- Onboarding Department: 4 positions
- Adjudication Department: 4 positions
- Legal Admin Department: 7 positions
- Medical Management Department: 2 positions
Purpose of the Role
The Administrative Assistant will provide day-to-day administrative support to the respective department, ensuring compliance with policies and maintaining effective office coordination.
Key Duties
- Compliance Administration:
- Maintain up-to-date documentation related to departmental activities.
- Ensure adherence to policies and process standards.
- Stay informed about internal standards and business goals.
- Office Coordination:
- Manage correspondence, filing, and telephonic queries.
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters.
- Follow up on outstanding matters and ensure timely responses.
- Assist in managing stationery availability within the department.
- Validate information and documents for accurate capturing.
- Meeting Support:
- Arrange meetings and manage logistical arrangements.
- Take and distribute minutes according to governance standards.
- Maintain a register to track outstanding matters.
- Document and Records Management:
- Administer records management processes in line with the RAF filing plan.
- Ensure the filing system is functional and up-to-date.
- Acknowledge receipt of documentation and apply file number allocations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Matric or Grade 12 certificate.
- Experience: Relevant experience of at least 1 year in an administrative or similar environment.
Technical and Behavioral Competencies Required
- Planning, organization, and coordination skills.
- Strong client service orientation.
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Good administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes and financial acumen.
