Volvo Group Southern Africa is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure the efficient operation of their parts warehouse. This role is crucial in supporting the dealership’s adherence to the Customer Charter.
Job Purpose
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a vital role in the operations of our parts warehouse, contributing to sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving/Inbound:
- Ensure all goods are received according to Volvo procedures.
- Accurately record discrepancies and part information in the GDS system.
- Organize parts in compliance with system allocations.
Outbound:
- Process customer orders with precision in picking, packing, and distributing parts.
- Ensure the system is updated timely post-authorization.
- Facilitate efficient parts delivery to workshop Technicians.
Credit Notes:
- Review and sign off on credit notes, ensuring they are filed and processed correctly.
- Verify adherence to return procedures for parts.
Stock Management:
- Perform daily perpetual stock counts as per warehouse standards.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in stock counts.
Housekeeping:
- Maintain a tidy and organized warehouse environment.
- Ensure proper storage and disposal of waste.
Exchange Parts Management:
- Ensure customer parts meet exchange standards and manage their physical receipt and storage.
- Prepare and label core returns to PDC.
Health and Safety:
- Uphold health and safety protocols in the warehouse for all personnel.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Matric / Grade 12.
- Experience: Diploma in Warehouse Management or a minimum of three years warehousing experience.
