Anglo American is offering a Warehouse Assistant position on a 12-month contract. This role is essential for executing tasks related to the receiving, storing, delivering, and moving of goods within the operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards in all behaviors.

- Collaborate effectively with leaders, peers, and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
- Actively participate in Safety Leadership and Management (SLAMs), Health and Safety meetings (HPHs), and relevant risk assessments.
- Resolve Goods Received Voucher (GRV) system queries.
- Execute inventory movement schedules, including receiving, binning, picking, delivering, and moving items as required.
- Report discrepancies, errors, or damages to inventory and equipment to the line supervisor.
- Organize floor space according to storage design principles and guidelines.
- Maintain housekeeping using 5S principles.
- Ensure security measures are followed for access control.
- Perform stock rotation and picking using FIFO principles.
- Assist in maintaining accurate stock status through cycle counting and bin verification.
- Compile reports identifying variances and improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Education: Grade 12.
- Preferred: Certificate in Supply Chain or Logistics (NQF Level 4).
- Driver’s License: South African driver’s license is required.
Experience
- 1 – 2 years of relevant warehouse knowledge/experience preferred.
Skills
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP).
- Systematic problem-solving approach with structured methodologies.
- Knowledge of discipline-related standards and practices.
