The Abagold Development Trust is offering partial bursaries for students residing in Hermanus for the 2025 academic year. This bursary is available for studies in any field at a tertiary level, providing extra funding to NSFAS-funded students who require additional support.

Bursary Details
- Partial funding: The bursary will supplement the NSFAS funding, specifically for living expenses not covered by the NSFAS stipend.
- Continuation of funding: Recipients must maintain a minimum average of 60% to keep receiving the bursary. Falling below this average for two consecutive semesters may result in the discontinuation of the bursary after necessary corrective actions.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this bursary, applicants must:
- Reside in Hermanus, Western Cape.
- Be receiving NSFAS funding.
- Have completed Matric.
- Be studying or intending to study towards a tertiary qualification.
- Have achieved a minimum overall average of 60%.
Selection Criteria
- Academic performance and financial need will be the primary selection factors.
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo interviews, and additional factors may be considered before recommendations are made to the Board.
