ACTOM Bursary 2025 for South Africans

ACTOM is currently accepting applications for its 2025 academic year bursaries. This bursary program aims to support students pursuing studies in engineering fields.

Fields of Study

Bursaries will be awarded for studies in the following engineering disciplines:

• Electrical Engineering
• Industrial Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the ACTOM Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be a South African citizen.
• Currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
• Planning to study towards one of the listed engineering qualifications in 2025.
• Must have been accepted to a recognized and accredited institution in South Africa.
• Achieve a minimum overall average of 60% in academic results.
• Demonstrate proven financial need (determined by household income).

Required Documentation

Along with your completed application form, include clear copies of the following:

1. Certified ID document (not older than 3 months).
2. Matric June results (if currently in Matric) and final Matric results once available.
3. Certified Matric certificate (if completed).
4. Proof of acceptance for 2025 (on institution’s letterhead).
5. Schedule of financial requirements/fees from the tertiary institution.
6. Certified proof of address.
7. Parents’ or guardians’ proof of income (latest payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployed, proof of SASSA grant or pension if applicable).

Note: Late applications will not be considered.
