ATNS invites students to apply for their Bursary Programme for the 2025 academic year. This program aims to support aspiring Air Traffic Services Officers through comprehensive training and education in Air Traffic Management.

Bursary Opportunities
A total of 30 bursaries will be awarded in the following categories:
- Air Traffic Services Officer (ATSO): 24 bursaries
- Aeronautical Information Management Officer (AIMO): 4 bursaries
- Target Generating Officer (TGO): 2 bursaries
Students will be assigned to specific disciplines according to the operational needs of ATNS and will undergo extensive training at the ATNS Aviation Training Academy (ATA) in Bonaero Park, Gauteng.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum entry criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must have completed Matric.
- Must have achieved a minimum result of Level 4 / HG “D” / SG “C” for pure Mathematics and English in Matric.
- Must be interested in pursuing a career in air traffic management with the goal of becoming an Air Traffic Services Officer.
- Must be unemployed.
- Must be willing to relocate anywhere in the country.
- Must NOT have previously participated in a similar programme with ATNS.
- Must be medically fit and willing to undergo a medical assessment for the ATSO stream.
