The Eastern Cape Department of Education (ECDOE) invites South African students residing within the Eastern Cape to apply for the 2025 Bursary Programme, aimed at supporting students pursuing Teaching studies at Undergraduate or Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) levels.

Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen
- Aged between 18 and 35 years
- Reside in the Eastern Cape
- Currently in Matric or have completed Matric with a Bachelor pass
- Studying or intending to study full-time towards an undergraduate or PGCE qualification in the education field, aligned with the department’s priority needs
- Studying or intending to study at an accredited university within the Eastern Cape
- Willing to pursue a career in Teaching
- Unemployed
- Preference given to students in financial need with a strong academic record
