Gold One Modder East Operations is offering exciting bursary opportunities for students looking to further their studies in various fields related to mining and engineering.

- Location: Springs, Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, approximately 30km east of Johannesburg, Gauteng Province.
What the Gold One Bursary Scheme Covers
The bursary scheme covers:
- Tuition Fees
- Exam Fees
- Book Fees/Costs
- Accommodation for full-time students (only at university-administered accommodation, paid directly to the university)
The bursary does not cover:
- Monthly stipends
- Transportation costs
- Meals
- Short courses
- Laptops and Data

Requirements for External Candidates
- Must be registered at a South African formal/recognized institution of higher learning.
- Proof of registration must be provided, including formal quotations for all relevant study requirements (as per the available lists).
- All certificates must be SAPS certified.
- Applicants currently in Matric must provide June results with a minimum of 60% pass aggregate.
- Tertiary students should have obtained a minimum of 60% in all major subjects.
- Proof of income per household must be submitted (this will be a deciding factor).
- Proof of residence required, as the bursary scheme intends to benefit students from specific areas within Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.
- South African citizenship is mandatory.

Requirements for Internal Candidates
- Must complete the internal application form, available from T&A.
- Must be registered at a South African formal/recognized institution of higher learning.
- Proof of registration must be provided, including formal quotations for all relevant study expenses.
- The employee must have been employed for at least one year (only permanent employees of Gold One are eligible).
Additional Information
- Successful candidates will need to sign a bursary contract with Gold One.
- Applications will not be accepted in person by HR Officers or Gold One Employees.
- Applications lacking supporting documents (such as relevant quotations, certified copies of ID, and proof of address) will not be considered.
Preference will be given to applicants from mine-hosting communities, specifically those from Springs, Benoni, and Nigel (and all townships of these towns).
