The Knysna Municipality is offering bursaries for the 2025 academic year to support students residing within the Greater Knysna Municipal Area in the Western Cape. These bursaries focus on scarce skills areas, including Engineering and Science.

About the Bursary
The bursary covers expenses such as:
- Registration fees
- Partial tuition fees
- Book allowance (up to a certain amount)
- Examination fees
- Accommodation (if necessary)
Awards are paid directly to tertiary institutions based on merit and financial need.
Eligibility Requirements:
To apply, you must meet these criteria:
- Citizenship: Be a South African citizen.
- Residency: Reside within the Greater Knysna Municipal Area.
- Education: Have completed Matric.
- Study Intentions: Intend to study full-time in a scarce skills sector at a SAQA accredited institution in South Africa.
- Preference: Preference will be given to students in financial need and those from historically disadvantaged communities.
