Metacom Foundation Bursary Programme for 2025 Academic Year

The Metacom Foundation invites students to apply for their Bursary Programme for the 2025 academic year. This bursary is specifically aimed at previously disadvantaged female students pursuing studies in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and related fields within the Western Cape province.

Bursary Benefits

The bursary will cover the following expenses:

• Full coverage of tuition costs for the duration of studies.
• Accommodation, transport, and essential daily needs.
• Ongoing guidance from industry professionals and previous bursary recipients through the “big sister” initiative.
• Access to personal guidance, health, and wellness sessions to support success throughout studies.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum entry criteria:

• Must be a South African citizen.
• Must be female and of colour.
• Age between 18 and 27 years.
• Currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
• Intending to study towards a Bachelor’s Degree in ICT or a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering).
• Enrolled or planning to enroll at a recognized and accredited public tertiary institution within the Western Cape.
• Strong academic record.
• Proven financial need.
• Demonstrated potential and ambition.

2. Complete the online Metacom Foundation Bursary Application Form 2025.
3. Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your online application:
   • Completed application form (from step 1).
   • Certified copy of ID Document.
   • Certified copy of Matric final results.
   • Most recent university transcript (if applicable) on institutional letterhead.
   • Proof of enrolment at an institution on institutional letterhead.
   • Proof of household income from parents or guardians (latest payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployed, proof of pension or social grant if applicable).
