The successful candidates will be responsible for administering fleet and non-vehicle-related losses, vehicle crashes, third-party claims against the state, claims in favor of the state, and providing legal assistance to the State Attorney and Western Cape Provincial Legal Services.

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
- Valid Code B (or higher) driving license.

Recommendation
- Administrative experience dealing with losses and claims.
- Paralegal qualifications/studies (advantageous).
Key Performance Areas
- Investigate vehicle crashes and claims against the State and provide administrative support in these processes.
- Liaise with the State Attorney/Legal Services regarding registered cases and assist in gathering necessary information.
- Investigate claims in favor of the State, reviewing incident details and recommending legal action to recover losses.
- Institute claims against client departments for non-compliance with transport directives and GMT self-insurance excess claims.
- Investigate fleet-related losses (own damage) and non-vehicle-related losses to ensure accurate reporting.
- Pursue claims against responsible institutions, parties, or individuals for non-vehicle-related losses.
- Compile management reports and statistics.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support as required.
Competencies Required

- Legislative framework governing the Public Service.
- Office administration and legal interaction procedures.

- National Road Traffic Act (93 of 1996) & Prescription Act (68 of 1969).
- Working procedures in fleet management and risk mitigation.

Remuneration & Benefits
