The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for three (3) Claims Officer positions. These roles will provide support to the Manager in handling RAF litigated matters and ensuring fair and cost-effective claims settlements.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess litigated claims and conduct preliminary evaluations.
- Investigate and settle claims efficiently to reduce legal costs.
- Perform merits and quantum assessments, including general damages and medical expenses.
- Verify expert medico-legal reports and follow up on outstanding claim information.
- Liaise with RAF attorneys on litigation strategy and ensure high court practice compliance.
- Prepare reports on trial outcomes and out-of-court settlements.
- Assist in appointing assessors for merits and quantum verification.
- Perform writs assessment, reporting, and approval of offers.
Minimum Requirements
- Four (4) year Degree in Law or an equivalent qualification.
- Admission as an Attorney of the High Court or Advocate.
- 3 years of experience in the claims/litigation environment.

- Legal knowledge: Understanding of court rules and litigation processes.
- Organizational understanding: Familiarity with RAF’s litigation structure.
- Strong analytical skills: Ability to assess merits and quantum.
- Communication skills: Effective oral and written communication.
