South African National Parks (SANParks) invites unemployed graduates to apply for internship opportunities in various fields.
This programme aims to equip young professionals with hands-on work experience in conservation, engineering, environmental management, finance, and communications.

1. Communication, Journalism, or Public Relations

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the SANParks Internship Programme, applicants must:
- Be unemployed graduates aged 18 – 35.
- Be South African citizens.
- Have completed a Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma (NQF 6/ NQF 7/ NQF 8) from a South African Public Higher Education Institution.
- Have not previously been employed or participated in an internship/placement programme.
- Reside in the province where the internship is located (for Tsitsikamma and Knysna).
Required Documents for Application
Applicants must submit the following:
- A detailed CV
- Certified copies of:
- Matric/Grade 12 certificate
- Academic qualifications with transcripts
- South African ID
- Motivation letter specifying the park, department, and field of study
- Proof of residence for location-specific internships
Important Notes
- Accommodation: Candidates must arrange their own accommodation and transportation unless otherwise specified.
- Interviews: Shortlisted applicants must be available for interviews at a location determined by SANParks.
- Application Process: Applications must be emailed to the correct email address as listed above. Manual applications will not be accepted.
- Selection Process: All internships are subject to verification and pre-screening. If you do not receive feedback within 14 days of the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful.
