This one-year learnership provides extensive training in various legal departments, equipping trainees with essential secretarial skills and practical experience in a professional environment.

Learnership Overview:
- Duration: 1 March to 28 February (with mid-year and final exams).
- Training Departments: Patents, Trade Marks, Commercial, and Conveyancing.
- Phase I: Focuses on developing typing/keyboarding skills and an introduction to the legal environment.
- Phase II: More advanced training, including audio typing, spreadsheets, presentations, and other key secretarial skills.
Key Learning Areas:
- Computyping: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint skills.
- Typing Speed: Target of 60 words per minute.
- Audio Typing and Basic Accounting.
- Legal Theory and English: Writing, reading, comprehension, and business communication.
- Professional Skills: Telephone etiquette, time management, financial planning, and grooming.
- Practical Training: In administrative and secretarial tasks.

Requirements:
- Age: Between 18 and 30 years.
- Education: Grade 12 certificate with Computer Applications Technology, or a post-matric qualification with typing/keyboarding and MS Office applications (minimum typing speed of 25 wpm).
- Fluency in English: Written and verbal, with a C-symbol (60-69%) being advantageous.
- Attitude: Willingness to work hard and learn.
