Scope and Purpose of the Role
The Contact Centre Trainee will manage the front desk of a service centre, focusing on providing accurate advice to customers while processing internal sales efficiently. Key responsibilities include:
- Customer Service:
- Manage counter sales by offering professional advice telephonically.
- Handle customer complaints with guidance from senior staff.
- Process claims accurately and collect payments promptly.
- Administration:
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Manage ‘on hold’ or ‘rejected invoices’ before entering new transactions.
- Process all PG Call Centre requests (incompletes, cash jobs, quotes).
- Sales:
- Record leads in DPS (Dealer Performance System) and follow up on actions.
- Increase conversions in the Fitment Centre by reporting conversion rates daily.
- Follow up on leads, perform telesales, provide accurate quotations.
Educational Background
- Minimum Grade 12 qualification required.
- TVET qualification preferred.
Experience
- Sales experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A high level of product knowledge within the automotive glass industry is beneficial.
Skills Required
- Computer literacy is essential; SAP experience would be advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers and staff.
- Ability to identify problems and implement solutions efficiently.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills along with good telephonic skills.
