Transnet is inviting applications for its Work Integrated Technical Learner Program, designed to provide practical workplace experience for University of Technology students. This program aims to enhance employability through hands-on training over a duration of 12 months.

Purpose
The program offers opportunities for both Technical and Non-Technical trainees to gain valuable practical experience that will aid in their future employment.
Participants will engage in various tasks within a work-stream or department, gaining exposure to different functions within procurement.
Responsibilities
- Shadow staff members and participate in learning experiences.
- Attend meetings and workshops to understand operational functions.
- Communicate with customers to assess their needs and provide updates on their requirements.
- Serve as the primary contact for supplier and end-user queries, ensuring timely resolution.
- Provide general administrative support, including research assistance.
- Take work briefs from mentors or specialists to structure deliverables.
- Produce reports using MS Office (Word and PowerPoint) that clearly communicate project outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Completed all theoretical subjects at S4/S5 level in one of the following fields:
- Electronics
- Industrial Engineering
- Physical Metallurgy
- No bursary obligations.
- Proof of confirmation/work integrated learning letter from the institution (most recent).
- Proof of qualification (academic record, certified Matric certificate, ID copy).
