Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of 9 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration asProfessional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. At least 5 years of the period referred toabove must be appropriate/recognisable experience after obtaining the 1-year post-basic qualificationas mentioned above. Or a post graduate diploma (R635) accredited with the SANC in Mental HealthNursing.
- Ability to function independently in a multi-disciplinary team and the ability to direct the team toensure quality nursing care. Ability to manage own work and that of the units reporting to the postwith good auditing skills. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of nursing and public service legislationand human resource and financial policies. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including day and night duty, as well as weekends and publicholidays, in accordance with operational requirements.

Manage human resources efficiently and effectively. Managematerial and physical resources efficiently and effectively. Maintain & promote professionalgrowth/ethical standards and development of self & others.
