The successful candidate will work at PG Logistics in Pretoria, supporting the team in transportation planning, delivery management, and logistics optimization.

Key Responsibilities
- Transportation Optimization: Identify cost-effective transport solutions to enhance cylinder distribution and prepare reports to improve performance.
- Collaboration: Work with planners, drivers, and customer support teams to optimize costs and enhance service delivery.
- Logistics Planning: Coordinate logistics for cylinders and hard goods across depots, ensuring safety, health, and environmental compliance.
- Delivery Management: Plan and manage primary and secondary deliveries, ensuring effective communication with depots for stock management.
- Transporter Performance: Monitor and report transporter performance, tracking key metrics and improving delivery processes.
- Cylinder Handling: Ensure proper handling of cylinders in compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements.
- Subcontractor Management: Oversee daily operations of transport subcontractors, ensuring vehicle maintenance, cost validation, and compliance with delivery documentation requirements.

Educational Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering
- Matric Certificate
Experience
- 3 years of road transportation experience
- 3 years in distribution management
- 2 years in a supervisory role
- Experience in inventory management
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of supply chain management, logistics, route planning, and tracking
- Knowledge of cylinder specifications and products
- Experience with logistics systems and work planning
- Familiarity with Navision system (advantageous)
