The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), within the Environmental and Infrastructure Service Department, is offering an 18-month internship in the Waste Management and Regulation branch. This programme focuses on policy and projects related to waste management.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Grade 12 (NQF level 4) plus a Degree in Environmental Health, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, or closely related disciplines (NQF level 7).
- Residency: Only City of Johannesburg residents will be considered.
- Remuneration: R9,960.45 per month (Basic Salary, no benefits).

- Waste Management Planning: Ensuring legislative compliance and environmentally sustainable waste management.
- Stakeholder Management: Community buy-in and participation in waste management initiatives.
- Business Planning and Reporting: Coordinating and providing input into business planning, project progress reporting, and financial management.

Competencies
Candidates should possess:
