Minimum Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Grade 12 (NQF level 4) plus a Degree in Environmental Health, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, or closely related disciplines (NQF level 7).
- Residency: Only residents of the City of Joburg will be considered.
Primary Function
The intern will manage the process of developing and implementing waste management policies, strategies, and plans for sustainable waste management services across the City. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements in waste management.
- Engaging stakeholders to ensure community participation in waste management initiatives.
- Coordinating business planning and reporting on project progress.
- Managing risks associated with waste management projects.
- Overseeing the entire project development cycle to ensure successful execution.
