The Moses Kotane Research Institute (MKRI) is inviting unemployed graduates in KZN to apply for short-term Research Data Collector positions. These positions are open to graduates aged 18 – 35 who will assist in field data collection for research purposes.

About the Role
Selected candidates will be responsible for door-to-door data collection within specific district municipalities in KZN, including:
- Amajuba District
- iLembe District
- Harry Gwala District
- uGu District
- uMgungundlovu District
- uMkhanyakude District
- uMzinyathi District
- uThukela District
- King Cetshwayo District
- Zululand District
Minimum Requirements
- A valid tertiary qualification (NQF 6 – NQF 8) – NQF 8 is an advantage
- Computer literacy
- Own mobile device (working smartphone) and ability to operate it efficiently
- Good communication skills
- Fluency in English and IsiZulu
- A Code 08/10 driver’s license is an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct door-to-door data collection in line with MKRI procedures
- Survey and interview participants (both in-person and telephonically)
- Capture data in the MKRI-prescribed format
- Ensure data integrity and maintain professional ethics
Terms of Appointment
- Fixed-term contract for this project only (estimated 2 – 5 days)
- Remuneration: R350 per day
- No accommodation provided – Only KZN residents from the listed municipalities may apply
