Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) is inviting applications from suitable, unemployed South African graduates aged between 18-35 for a two-year Graduate Development Programme.
This initiative aims to provide candidates with both institutional knowledge and practical, on-the-job training within various functional areas.
The structured programme offers a mentor-supported experience lasting twenty-four months, with assessments conducted every six months to ensure it meets the expectations of both candidates and Transnet.

Eligibility
This opportunity is specifically for unemployed graduates with qualifications from institutions registered with the Department of Higher Education & Training, including:

- Universities of Technology
- TVET Colleges
Eligible qualifications should include:
- National Diploma
- Diploma
- Bachelor’s degree
- BTech degree with a minimum NQF Level 6 or above.
Applicants must not have prior work experience in their field of study.
Position Outputs
- Completion of a two-year graduate development programme.
Qualifications and Experience
- Required Qualifications: B Degree in Logistics or Transport Economics.
- Experience: No prior work experience is necessary, but applicants will undergo a recruitment process. Successful candidates will be placed in various Depots and Departments within TFR.
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
