The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, in partnership with the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), invites South African unemployed youth to apply for the Young Creatives Programme.
This initiative is a two-year National Youth Service program designed to empower young individuals in the creative and cultural industries.

Location: All South African provinces
Key Functions:
As a participant in this program, you will be responsible for:
- Implementing arts and cultural activities at Community Arts Centres and schools.
- Mobilizing schools and youth groups to participate in program activities.
- Organizing community events related to the Young Creatives Programme.
- Building relationships with local organizations and community groups.
- Monitoring program implementation at schools and arts centers.
- Committing to personal development.
Requirements:
To qualify for this opportunity:
- Education: Grade 12 certificate; tertiary qualifications are advantageous.
- Age: Between 18 and 35 years old.
- Background: Must be from the creative or cultural sector.
- Skills:
- Facilitation, presentation, communication skills, including English proficiency along with a local language.
Benefits:
Participants receive a monthly stipend of R4,000 during their tenure.
