Food Technologist

Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Food Technology
- Strong knowledge of food safety systems, including ISO standards, PRPs, and food safety protocols
- A strong technical ability
- Good knowledge of Food Safety Management principles and Good Manufacturing Practices
- A sound knowledge of FSSC 22000, Food processing and Woolworths Code of Practice
- Microsoft Office literacy
- Exposure to Shopware system will be advantageous.
- Investigate and resolve microbiological, quality, and food safety issues across products, components, and processes
- Manage non-conformances, customer complaints, RTVs, and shelf-life issues, implementing corrective and preventative actions
- Conduct internal audits, maintain audit schedules, and ensure completion of NCRs by relevant teams and suppliers
- Maintain supplier assurance, liaise with customers, and provide regular reporting and trend analysis
- Oversee QC activities, supervise QC teams, and verify processes including daily CCP checks
- Maintain and update food safety documentation, systems, policies, and ensure compliance with FSQ standards
- Conduct training, traceability tests, and mock recalls to ensure operational readiness
- Ensure factory compliance through inspections, hygiene enforcement, deep-clean supervision, and process validation
