Minimum Requirements
- Qualification:
- An NQF level 7 in Social Sciences.
- Post graduate degree will be an added advantage (NQF level 9). Experience :
- Management experience to support labour relations.
- in participation in government institutions at various levels.
- Ability to work as part of a Team.
- Minimum of 10 years in Local Government.

- Research to inform Primary Duties Ability to scan the Water and Sanitation sectoral environment and maintain good relations at Intergovernmental Relations (IGR) level.
- Facilitation of Institutional Realignment and Development.
- Planning the coordination of the activities and initiatives of water and sanitation institutions in relation to the Department of Water and Sanitation.
- Strategically forge closer cooperation between Rand Water, Water and Sanitation Institutions and Water Services Authorities.
- Foster collaboration between Water and Sanitation Institutions in Africa and developing Countries.
- Alignment of development priorities of the Stakeholders for example that of Association of Water and Sanitation Institutions in South Africa (AWSISA, Amanzi Bargaining Council).
- Principal Accountability
- To support RWI regarding the alignment of Stakeholders research needs within Local government sector.
- Support Government Performance Reviews relating to effective delivery of Water services.
- Facilitate inputs from RW into the Institutional Realignment and Development in line with DWS.
- Facilitate input into the National Water Resource Strategy revision process.
- Professionalisation of the Public Sector.
- Support the representation of RW on AWSISA and Amazi Bargaining Council.
- Continuous scanning of the WSA and WSP environment.
- Prepare reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders and management
